Here is one of a series of video interviews I did with FFO (Filipinos for Obama) Volunteers. I interviewed a few folks when people had the time and energy.
Since November 4th I’ve been feeling a mixture of relief and post-election blues — not just for the way that people voted, but for the whole process finally being over. This election season has been so long and bizarre that I had to see it through the filter of satire, with daily doses of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and more recently the Saturday Night Live sketches which essentially wrote themselves.
As part of CAAM’s Election Initiative for 2008, I will be blogging about my personal experiences with civic engagement in the Asian American community during this past election. Here are some short stories, responses, ephemera collected from the road during the brief time I signed up with the Barack Obama presidential campaign.

U.S. rights to Jessica Yu’s PING PONG PLAYA have been picked up by IFC Films with a planned theatrical release slated for September 5th. The film, which marks the fiction feature debut for Yu, closed the Asian-American Film Festival July 19th in New York.
You may not have seen it on the news, but this week the service workers at the University of California campuses and hospitals have been holding a five-day strike to call for higher wages.
