Hey everyone! December 31 is just around the corner. Thanks to your support, we’ve almost raised $9,600 through our end of the year crowdfunding campaign Amplify Stories to Light. We’re excited to announced that long-time CAAM filmmaker partner Yuriko Gamo Romer has donated 5 copies of her documentary Mrs. Judo: Be Strong, Be Gentle, Be Beautiful (which CAAM funded in 2011 and premiered at SFIAAFF—now CAAMFest—in 2012) as a new campaign perk. Mrs. Judo documents the life-long journey of Keiko Fukuda’s decision to defy thousands of years of tradition, choose her own path, and become the highest-ranking woman in judo history.
The first 5 people who donate $35 or more by to CAAM’s crowdfunding campaign Amplify Stories to Light at www.CAAMedia.org/Amplify by December 31st will receive one of the five copies of Mrs. Judo. The recipients will be notified by email by January 2nd.
