What started off as a small idea for a summit for the youths of the Himalayan Community, soon became a collaborative effort between different community organizations and agencies. This collaboration of agencies (Sahayeta, CHAA, TANC, BCC, CAN-USA, and CAAM) are glad to now announce the first annual Himalayan Youth Leadership Summit, to be held on August 20, 2011, at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland.
The idea behind this event is to organize and host an event through which youths from the Himalayan communities (Tibetan, Bhutanese & Nepalese) can be brought together in a single forum where they can be able to network with each other, build relationships and have fun. The summit will host a board range of guest speakers from their own professional fields to encourage, inspire and motivate the youths to further challenge themselves and achieve their goals & dreams. The event will also hold several different competitions designed to helps the Youths showcase their hidden talents.
The networking event during the day is absolutely free. If you plan to attend the evening entertainment session only, the cover charge will be $25.00. We are giving away free tickets for the entertainment section for the first 50 registration. So hurry and sign up today.
