The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recently gave SOMA Pilipinas a $100,000 “Our Town” arts grant that will go toward the Filipino Cultural Heritage District.
The grant supports CAAM’s work with Asian American documentary filmmakers in the South.
CAAM will receive an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support CAAMFest 2018.
The grants will support a Virtual Reality project directed by acclaimed filmmaker Wayne Wang and storytelling from California’s diverse Central Valley.
Public television and public radio are the only outlets that have supported and presented Asian American stories in media consistently over the years.
