The women must not only find the courage to revisit sites of unspeakable trauma, they also face an unexpected and agonizing predicament when they come face to face with the son of one of Pol Pot’s most notorious torturers. In a courageous act, these women finally find it within themselves to reckon with their past so that they can extend the promise of redemption to future generations.
