CAAM is pleased to co-present, with Twin Triumph Productions, the Bay Area Premiere Gala of THE POWER OF TWO at the Castro Theatre on September 10th!
THE POWER OF TWO is a feature documentary about the intimate bond between half-Japanese twin sisters Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes, their lifelong battle with the fatal genetic disease cystic fibrosis (CF), survival through miraculous double lung transplants, and improbable emergence as authors, athletes, and advocates for organ donation and those suffering from CF in the U.S. and Japan.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see this hopeful and heartfelt film’s special hometown presentation with post-screening Q&As with director/producer Marc Smolowitz and the Stenzel twins. The Evening Gala screening includes live musical performances by the film’s acclaimed soundtrack musicians Juliet Commagere, Tim Easton, Sara Melson, and Haroula Rose. THE POWER OF TWO is the directorial debut from Academy Award nominated San Francisco filmmaker Marc Smolowitz (“The Weather Underground” and “Trembling Before G-d.”).
CAAM Members: keep your eyes peeled for special Members-only giveaways related with this screening! And, contact us at membership[at]caamedia.org for information on how to receive a $5 discount on $20 admission prices for this San Francisco screening!
