Christian Yau-Weeks is the Center for Asian American Media’s Programs Assistant. They are involved in CAAM’s programmatic initiatives, the development of year-round strategic planning, and directs CAAM’s youth partnerships. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Christian holds a BA from Wesleyan University in American Studies concentrated in Visual Culture and Race/Ethnicity. They are driven by the generative possibilities of accessible multimedia storytelling, the preservation of culture, and the celebration of community. Outside of CAAM, Christian enjoys watching horror films and searching for local spots to eat or dance at.
