CAAM PRESENTS SUNDANCE PANEL “THE ROAD TO DECOLONIZATION” ON JANUARY 27TH

CAAM is thrilled to continue our relationship with the Sundance Institute by presenting an industry conversation at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

As ethnic, gender and power dynamics become redefined throughout American culture and society at large, independent film faces similar challenges in finding its way forward. Join CAAM for this forward-looking conversation with leading industry thinkers to consider and construct a more just and equitable future. This program will be on Sunday, January 27th from 12 pm – 1:30 pm MST at the Kimball Art Center. We will be announcing the full program soon, with a registration link. If you have any questions, please email CAAM’s team at events@caamedia.org.

In addition, our Ninth Street Independent Film Center (Ninth Street) partner Jewish Film Institute (JFI) is taking its mission of inspiring communities to expand their understanding of Jewish experience through film, media and dialogue to the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. As part of a new strategic partnership with the Sundance Institute, JFI presents an intimate conversation between Where’s My Roy Cohn? director Matt Tyranauer (Studio 54, Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood) and Festival senior programmer Caroline Libresco on Friday, January 25th from 12 pm to 2:00 pm MST at the Kimball Art Center. Though this program is free to attend, advanced registration via this form is required. For questions or more information, please contact the Jewish Film Institute team at jewishfilm@jfi.org.
