The Birth of Saké has won a 2017 James Beard Media Award! Congratulations to director Erik Shirai and PBS’ POV program. CAAM proudly presented the program on PBS. The film received the award in the Documentary category.
The Birth of Saké, directed by Erik Shirai, has been nominated for a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Documentary. The film was a special jury mention winner for Best Documentary Director at Tribeca (2015), and premiered on PBS’ POV program last fall. CAAM co-presented the program on PBS.
Congratulations to Shirai and PBS on the nomination! The film is available to stream and on iTunes.
