This year’s program focuses on the devastating earthquake in Nepal, and the resilience and spirit of people there.

The Opening Night program features the film Bhagyale Bachekaharu — Miracle Survivals in Nepal Earthquake, and Nepali dinner and drinks and takes place at the Ninth Street Independent Film Center.

The other films that will screen this year are Castaway Man, Drawing The Tiger (CAAMFest 2016 Documentary Award Winner), Talking to the Air: The Horses of the Last Forbidden Kingdom and Tashi and the Monk.

All proceeds go to Sahayeta — A Bay Area 501c3 organization supporting projects here and in Nepal. For more information, please visit the Himalayan Film Festival website.
