Caitilin Damacion (she/her) is the Individual Giving Officer at the Center for Asian American Media. A recent graduate of San Francisco State University’s MA program in the Humanities, Caitilin enjoys the exploration of cultural intersections, especially those pertaining to California history, the Filipino Diaspora, Ethnic Studies, and subversive cultural movements in America. As a scholar, writer, and organizer, she is happily dedicated to contextualizing American history and increasing the vibrancy of its popular culture.

Previous to her work at CAAM, Caitilin worked as the Programs & Outreach
Coordinator at the Chinese Historical Society of America and as a Senior Researcher and Development Manager for Democracy in Color Media. As a scholar and advocate, Caitilin has contributed to The Filipino American Woman Project, the Asian American Literary Festival, the Filipino American Educators Association of California Conference, Oakland Style Week, and Marin County’s first ever AAPI joy festival -2021’s Jasmine Market.

In her free time, Caitilin can be found enjoying the great outdoors with her family, at
happy hour with friends, being a couch potato at her mom’s house, or at home in
Oakland, with a good book.
