Since 2019, the CAAM Fellowship program has mentored 16 emerging filmmakers, pairing them with accomplished Asian American makers in our field to contribute to a growing body of stories from a diversity of backgrounds, identities and geographies — especially those experiences that are currently under-represented. The goal is to nurture not only the Fellows’ projects and careers, but also contribute to a community of makers that is eager to support one another and uplift the quality of filmmaking across the board.
