The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recently gave SOMA Pilipinas a $100,000 “Our Town” arts grant that will go toward the Filipino Cultural Heritage District.

Myong is the Deputy Superintendent of Policy and Operations for San Francisco Unified School District and CAAM’s Board Vice Chair.
“The two features I’ve starred in after #starringjohncho – Columbus, and now Searching – are both great stories directed by Asian Americans and supported by YOU – people who like that idea.”
With support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, CAAM provides production funding to independent producers for national public television.
Liu shares the journey of making this film, his creative process, and the commitment to explore difficult issues such as race, masculinity, and domestic violence.
The new awardees include “Mixed” “First Vote,” “Hamtramck, USA,” and a new untitled race and criminal justice documentary.
