Clear your calendars! CAAMFest will take place May 8-11, 2025 during San Francisco’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The completely in-person program will feature a wide array of films and panels, plus other arts and cultural events.
This year, all CAAMFest screenings, panel discussions, and other programs will be held in San Francisco. We are looking forward to returning to Japantown, an immersive backdrop for Asian American stories. This year’s Opening Night film screening will be held at the AMC Kabuki, followed by the annual Gala at the Asian Art Museum.
“We are excited to bring CAAMFest back to Japantown, a historic locale for San Francisco—and the nation—that harkens back to some of the earliest immigrants from Asia and their resilience,” says CAAM Director of Programs Don Young. “Our films and other events bring together audiences from many backgrounds to appreciate storytelling that is both specific to the experiences of Asian Americans and illuminating for broader audiences.”
Taking place at key cultural locations, CAAMFest will attract attendees from around the nation and the world, celebrating the depth and variety of stories from Asian American communities and beyond. More announcements will come soon about CAAMFest films, Opening Night, key programs, and interview opportunities, and the full festival program and ticket sales will go live on the CAAMFest website in April.
