Want to learn more about how the major presidential candidates are addressing Asian American and Pacific Islander issues? We are partnering once again with APIAVote to present the 2024 Presidential Town Hall. Join us Saturday, July 13 live in-person, if you are in Philadelphia, or online from anywhere.
Vice President Kamala Harris will be the keynote speaker for this event, which is non-partisan and focuses on highlighting how both major parties are addressing the concerns of AANHPI communities.
Since 2020, we here at CAAM have collaborated with APIAVote, a national nonpartisan organization to produce the Presidential Town Hall, a crucial national forum for inviting presidential candidates to engage directly with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. By providing a dedicated space for candidates to address AAPI community members, leaders, and organizers face-to-face, the town hall offers one of the rare opportunities for this impactful growing electorate to hear directly from those vying for the nation’s highest office. This event ensures that AAPI issues are brought to the forefront of campaigns and media attention, pushing candidates to address the concerns and priorities that matter most to the AAPI population.
The AAPI community has become a fast growing electorate, making a huge impact at the polls. The AAPI vote can shape elections. Show up for your community and ensure that AAPI issues are brought to the forefront of our presidential candidates’ campaigns
This year, the Presidential Town Hall will be held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia on July 13, 2024. We are anticipating a crowd of up to 1800 in attendance for an in person event.
