Mark your calendars for another round of great Asian and Asian American film, food, and music this fall… from a safe distance, of course. CAAM is marking our 40th anniversary in 2020, and we plan to celebrate this milestone with dynamic programs this fall. We’re also aware that history is being made this year, in so many ways. Back in May, we gathered online to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with CAAMFest Online: Heritage at Home.
“When we pivoted to a virtual festival in May, no one had any idea that sheltering-in-place would become our new normal,” says Festival Director Masashi Niwano. “But we are continuing to build new ways to gather together and watch films, performances, and have great conversations.”
In keeping with our ongoing CAAMForward campaign, celebrating the future of Asian American storytelling, it is only fitting to call our fall festival CAAMFest FORWARD. Clear your schedule for October 14-18, 2020 and check back for more details on the exciting online events we are developing.
We will have more details about our films and live events to come. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube or sign up for our emails to get more updates about CAAMFest FORWARD.
