2018 PBS Online Film Festival Kicks off July 16

"Flip the Record," "Our Time," and "Black Muslim Woman" are part of the lineup from CAAM filmmakers.

The Webby Award-nominated PBS Online Film Festival returns for a seventh year Monday, July 16 and will run through July 27, 2018. The festival features 25 short-form, independent films from public media partners and member stations, including the Center for Asian American Media.

This year, three CAAM films include Flip the Record by CAAMFest 2018 alum Marie Jamora, Our Time by CAAMFest 2017 alum Arpita Kumar, and Black Muslim Woman (presented by World Channel) by Muslim Youth Voices filmmaker Mikel Aki’lah Jones.

Voting for your favorite film or films begins Monday, July 16 at pbs.org/filmfestival!

The PBS Online Film Festival is part of a multi-platform initiative to increase the reach and visibility of independent films, and to provide a showcase for diverse storytelling that inspires and engages. Beginning July 16, the Festival will be available via PBS.org and other PBS digital platforms. As in previous years, films will also be available to stream on YouTube and Facebook. #PBSFilmFest
