Headliners Announced for Heritage SF Music and Food Festival at CAAMFest!

Heritage SF brings together top artists, the Bay Area’s best food trucks, and retail booths for a free day of high-energy music and a celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander community.

In the spirit of APA Heritage Month, CAAM joins forces with Boba Guys, ISAtv, and Undiscovered SF to bring you the first ever – HERITAGE SF. Heritage brings together top artists, the Bay Area’s best food trucks, and retail booths for a free day of high-energy music and a celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Mixing rap, R&B/soul, and indie beats, this festival within a festival is sure to draw large crowds. Featuring artists that are setting new visions and redefining the role of Asian Americans in the music industry.

The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the most diverse locations in the world and home to over a million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), behind only Los Angeles and New York City. Every May, AAPI diversity is celebrated throughout the city and the nation during Asian Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month.

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of APA Heritage Month. To celebrate, the city of San Francisco will host a series of community events to recognize and honor the diversity and significant contributions that AAPI’s have made to the city’s richness.

This FREE music festival will feature a high energy concert, award ceremony, and community engagement with vendors highlighting local community organizations, businesses and food + drink.

We are excited to announce that this year will feature Yuna, P-LO and more acts to be announced!

YUNA BIO

Yuna is used to transcending expectations – and she does so again with what Rolling Stone has hailed as one of the Best R&B albums of 2016. Chapters, released on Verve Music boasts her most confessional songwriting yet combined with a surprising group of legendary creative collaborators, including Usher and DJ Premier the album is retro-futuristic urban groove that’s all new, and all her.

“It’s not just a collection of songs, but a body of work” Yuna explains. “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done before.” An early buzz on social media attracted the attention of US management company Indie-Pop, who quickly helped turn her from a law student playing in coffee shops into an award winning household-name. “Live Your Life”, an uplifting yet haunting Pharrell-produced hit crossed her into a mainstream market and she hasn’t looked back.

P-LO BIO

P-Lo is a founding member of the Bay Area collective HBK Gang (Iamsu!, Sage The Gemini, Kehlani and more). As a solo artist, P-Lo has been steadily on the rise, releasing projects that continue to push him further into the spotlight. As a producer, P-Lo has made hits with Yo Gotti (“Act Right”), Flo Rida (“GDFR”) and B.o.B. (“Not For Long”) to name a few.

Fresh off of tour with Skizzy Mars and after dropping his latest video for his stand out track “LTBU” feat. G-Eazy & Jay Ant, P-Lo is ready for his first headline tour this July.
