‘Changing Season’ to Screen at Smithsonian at Food Program

Changing Season: On the Masumoto Family Farm, will screen at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 as part of the Smithsonian Food History Weekend at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The film, directed by Jim Choi and produced by CAAM, takes a look at the organic peach farm in California’s Central Valley during a year of transitions.

Two subjects of the film, David Mas Masumoto and his daughter, Nikiko Matsumoto, will be on a roundtable panel on food and agricultural innovations on Friday, October 23, 2015. The even is free but registration is required.

The film received the best Best Feature Documentary Award at the 2015 Sacramento Asian Pacific Film Festival and Best Director for a Documentary at the 2015 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. For more information about the film, visit the film’s page here.
