CAAM co-presents at SF International South Asian Film Festival

CAAM is proud to co-present three films at the SF International South Asian Film Festival! This year’s festival, (Sep 19-23 & 30) brings over 20 films from 9 different countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Canada, South Africa, UK and USA!

The festival is presented by 3rd i Films, which is committed to promoting diverse images of South Asians through independent film. 3rd I showcases films from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Afghanistan and the global South Asian Diaspora.

Winner of the World Cinema Audience Award at Sundance, Valley of Saints takes place in Kashmir. A story of conflict, as well as environmental destruction and romance.

Director Musa Syeed spoke at the Present/Future Summit on transmedia storytelling at this year’s San Francisco Int. Asian American Film Festival. CAAM also had an opportunity to interview Musa Syeed with Producer Nicholas Bruckman about Valley of Saints this year.
