The 29th SFIAAFF is the celebration of life through the amalgam of light, sound and stories from the rich history and diversity of Asian people in the United States and global Diasporas.
From Castro to Japantown,
With memories, stories from all around,
Some so real makes me frown,
Some trickle the funny bone inside out,
Conversation will light the insight,
Light, sound, dialogue and stories will take me to a different realm within and beyond.
The festival is offering so much that it’s very difficult which event to choose and what to miss – I liked the recommendation made by Mr. Ravi Chandra, a superfan of the film festival.

To sum up my expectation from this festival, I would say –
Motion/emotion;
Montage of elation/ frustration/creation;
Jump cut to action;
Gun and fun;
Close up of insight;
Welcome to the celebration!

Great way to start off the Student Delegate blog with something new and different, Nawneet! It’s great to embrace different forms of art—music, art, films, poety—which are all showcased in some way or form in this year’s San Francisco International Film Festival. Such different array of works is one of the many reasons why this particular festival is so special. People of all different backgrounds can find something they can relate to or deeply appreciate.
