The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) program Doing Your Doc: Diverse Voices, Regional Visions consists of “3-day regional documentary development/production seminars for Latino/a, African American, Native/Pacific Islanders, Asian, Middle Eastern, LGBTQ, and regional documentary makers in communities traditionally under-served by professional mentoring and information. Now in its 8th year, this professional development program is designed to support individual media artist’s projects with skills instruction, relationship building, and artist mentoring.”
The 2014 seminars will be presented in San Francisco (September 12-14, 2014) and New York (October 3-5, 2014) and are open to media artists with selected free events at each location. CAAM Executive Director Stephen Gong will discuss public media funding opportunities with N’Jeri Eaton of Independent Television Service at Doing Your Doc San Francisco 2014 on Saturday, September 13 from 3 pm – 4:30 pm.
