The results are in for Asian Pacific Fund’s “Growing Up Asian in America,” whose theme this year was food. Started in 1995, “Growing Up Asian in America” has become one of the largest Asian American youth celebrations in the country. The contest provides a platform for Asian American kindergarteners to 12th graders in the Bay Area to explore and celebrate their identities.
CAAM participated as judges for the video portion of the contest. It was great seeing all the creative young minds out there making media about identity (and food!). Here is one of the lucky winners: Ryan, who is an 8th Grader from San Jose.
