Interview with Grace Lee, Director of THE GRACE LEE PROJECT

THE GRACE LEE PROJECT

By RJ Lozada

I re-watched Grace Lee Project the night before our scheduled interview, and was charmed by the simple but telling format. I wondered how many Roldan Lozada’s were out there and if they also enjoyed storytelling, and carne asada fries.

I hear there’s a lot of them in Spain and in South America.

When I finished the interview Grace Lee asked about my interest in Grace Lee Boggs. I mentioned how I feel like Boggs is still so sharp, and in her age, still unafraid to grow, to learn. Lee asked if a documentary on Boggs would be well received, I said, of course.
