CAAM welcomes Debbie Ng, Development and Communications Director

On January 4th, Debbie Ng joined CAAM as the new Development and Communications Director. Rina Mehta who has moved to Los Angeles to be closer to her family previously held this position. We thank Rina for her dedication and for building a strong foundation for the organization.

On January 4th, Debbie Ng joined CAAM as the new Development and Communications Director. Rina Mehta who has moved to Los Angeles to be closer to her family previously held this position. We thank Rina for her dedication and for building a strong foundation for the organization.

Debbie will lead the development and marketing efforts and is thrilled to join the top-notch CAAM staff. This year is also a very special time to be joining CAAM as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Look out for a special CAAM 30th section on our website and visit for more details in the coming weeks.

She looks forward to getting to know you — CAAM members – and looks forward to seeing many of you at special member events and the wonderful SF International Asian American Film Festival in March. Please be sure to say hello and introduce yourself as she gets to know as many names as possible!

Debbie comes to CAAM with over ten years of experience working with diverse Bay Area communities in the nonprofit and education sectors, particularly in the areas of marketing, fundraising and programming. She also brings a filmmaker perspective having produced an award-winning film called Kieu. She has published research on civic engagement in the Asian American community and in ethnic communities. Most recently, she worked at the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership, Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
