Asha for Education is a secular organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change. Asha is a zero overhead org supported solely by dedicated volunteer effort.

Every year, Asha San Francisco presents breakthrough films that distinguish themselves from traditional song-dance films of Bollywood to provide a window into the real gems of the Indian film industry. These films highlight India’s children and her people through the eyes of talented documentary and mainstream filmmakers. This is one of our biggest fundraising events.
