Space is very limited and seats are filling up fast. If you would like to join us, we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible to events@calhum.org, or to 415-391-1474 x 315.

The presentation of this California Council for the Humanities-supported documentary will be followed by a conversation with the director, Arthur Dong, an Academy Award nominee and triple Sundance award-winning filmmaker. A wine and light-fare reception will immediately follow the screening.

HOLLYWOOD CHINESE takes a captivating look at a little-known chapter of cinema: the Chinese in American feature films. Widely acclaimed at film festivals around the world, HOLLYWOOD CHINESE is fascinating and insightful. We are extremely pleased to be able to bring it to you for this private screening.
